SERIS Benelux welcomes Christophe Segaert as new CEO

November 2020

INTO THE FUTURE WITH CONFIDENCE

On 1 November 2020, Christophe Segaert (54) was appointed as the new CEO of SERIS Benelux and also as a group board member. He replaces Sven Van Hout (CFO), who has provided interim stability and continuity for the past four months.

THREE DECADES OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

With his new role at SERIS, Christophe continues to build on a 30-year career with various players in the services sector with a major technological component. He can boast 20 years of solid experience in various management positions with companies undergoing full transformation. For instance, Christophe was appointed director in 2001 of the then Belgacom and from 2007 onwards he gradually took over the leadership of two subsidiary companies of bpost (Deltamedia and eXbo). After that, he led the family business Artoos (as its first external CEO) and then he ushered in the digital transformation and other innovation projects as commercial vice president with telecom operator VOO.

‘I’m delighted and proud to be part of the SERIS Group. I’m really looking forward to working together with the teams on the challenges which our clients face. Together with them and the SERIS solutions, we have all the qualities at our disposal to continue to grow as a challenger in guarding and a leader in technological solutions.’

THE IDEAL MAN IN A CHANGING MARKET

These are special days in the security sector. On the one hand, security guards have to be highly flexible in the context of the health crisis. On the other hand, client demands are getting increasingly complex, with an extensive technological component.

‘Companies in our sector must offer the best of two worlds, namely state-of-the-art technology in combination with strong inter-personal skills. Both our clients and SERIS itself will benefit from Christophe’s experience in innovation in the services sector.’

‘A strategist with a proven track record in innovation and customer experience. I’m delighted that we’ve found such a person in Christophe,’ says Patrick Abgrall, CEO SERIS Group. ‘Under his leadership we have every confidence that SERIS Benelux has a bright future.’

TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL ORGANISATIONS

Christophe Segaert graduated in commercial engineering at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management. He has also trained at the Kellogg School of Management (USA). Since 2003, he has been a director of the Solvay Schools Alumni (ULB and VUB) and has also been a director of VOKA Flemish Brabant.

FUTURE PLANS

It is our mission to provide an answer for all security needs. And to offer the right credentials: exceptionally professional and enthusiastic staff, superior technological skills, services which link up transparently, and an innovation culture where the status quo is constantly questioned. Under Christophe’s leadership we want to  capitalise further on those qualities and deploy his vast experience in innovation to raise our total package and our clients’ experience to a higher level.

I’m really looking forward to working with 2,400 colleagues to make a difference for and with our clients in a sector which is so important in society.

Finally, we want to thank our staff, clients, and suppliers most sincerely for their trust in our organisation.
